Chalcedony Nike Intaglio Ring
The intaglio technique dates back to the Roman Empire, and refers to the recessed engravings into stone or glass. This intaglio is carved into a piece of chalcedony and set in heavy 22k yellow gold. Depicting the roman goddess Nike, symbolizing victory, the stone appears to be from around 200-900 AD, but with a more modern, 19th-20th century setting.
