Dragonware Teacup and Saucer
Dragonware Teacup and Saucer
This incredibly intricate dragonware moriage teacup and saucer features a layered dimensional enamel dragon motif in vibrant hues. Finish your tea to see a lithophane nude figure weightlessly hovering at the base of the cup. Porcelain lithophane is a technique in which some areas are made thicker than others. When held up to light, an image is created. These pieces were popular Japanese export- ware in the late 1800's through the mid-1900's. Not your average cup of tea!
